1840 Governor General Francisco Alcala approves the plan to construct the Magellan Monument in Punta Engaño, Mactan. 1903 Act. No. 1020 of the Philippine Commission appropriates $20, 000 for the construction of a timber wharf in Cebu City. 1916 Birth in Cebu City of Sergio Osmeña Jr., Senator and long-time Cebu political leader.

The Library is open to the public and serves all students, scholars and researchers in the Cebuano Studies area. It bestows special affiliation to independent scholars and institution here and abroad.

Monday – Friday               Saturday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.        8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

For Non-USC users:
Fill out Non-USC Profile Form
Secure permit from the Circulation Section
Library Fee : 100.00Php per day
Visiting researchers are accommodated from Monday to Saturday
