1921 Death of Cebuano editor and writer, Escolastico Morre (1888-1921), known as “Errome.” 1945 Cebu City is taken by American forces with no opposition from the Japanese. Elements of the 132nd and 182nd U.S. Infantry Regiments of the Americal Division occupied the city and thus ended Japanese occupation of the capital.
