Both documentaries were implemented under the auspices of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

The event’s main highlight is the launch of several books initiated by the Cebuano Studies Center, including “That Black God: Stories” by the late Gumercindo Rafanan, “Nature and its Persuasions: Critical Essays” by Hope Sabanpan-Yu, “The Stories of Lolo Berto” by Lamberto Ceballos, “Pre-War Cebuano Writers” by Mari-Rose Lapad and Hope Sabanpan-Yu, and “South of the City: Tales from Carcar” edited by Hope Sabanpan-Yu.
