1898 A battle takes place in Bogo between Spanish troops and Cebuano insurgents led by Don Nemesio Maxilom, the encounter is indecisively concluded with casualties. 1961 Death of Philippine President Sergio Osmeña (1878-1961). Death came at 1:30 P.M. at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Manila.
