Aims and Scope

The first online journal to focus on Cebuano Studies in the world, Lamdaman, publishes original research on matters related to anything Cebuano and welcomes theoretical works, applied research, and literary reviews contributions.

Themes
The topics that will be covered include all aspects of Cebuano Studies ranging from the humanities, social and natural sciences. The areas that may be covered are not limited to:
  • analysis of gender & sexuality
  • literary history
  • ethnographic studies
  • disaster & preparedness
  • poverty issues
  • health & wellness
  • family & marriage
  • migration movements

Peer Review Policy
All research articles in this journal have been subject to a double-blind peer review process, based on two referees known to be experts in the field.

Manuscript
The editors shall acknowledge receipt of manuscripts which begins the review process. Manuscript must be in MS Word format, and should follow the MLA parenthetical documentation and a list of “Works Cited” at the end. The submission must be emailed to csc.lamdaman@gmail.com (CC: cebuanostudies@gmail.com)

Open-Access Policy & Copyright
In the spirit of allowing maximum access to the research outputs in our Open Access environment, the copyright will remain with the author. CC – By NC ND

Instructions for Authors
Before sending your paper to the journal’s editor, please make sure that you have included all necessary details.

Please make sure you have provided:

  1. The name of the author designated as the corresponding author, along with an email address, full postal address, telephone, and fax numbers.
  2. All author data on a separate page to facilitate anonymous peer review.
  3. A short title.
  4. An abstract.
  5. Keywords, at least 5.
  6. A biographical sketch of at least 300 words.
  7. An acknowledgment to your funding agency if applicable.
  8. Numbered pages in sequence.

Please also ensure:

  • Copyright checklist
  • References are in the MLA format for the journal.
  • All references mentioned in the Work Cited are cited in the text, and vice versa.
  • Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet).
  • All tables, figures, and captions are separated from the body of the text, i.e., do not embed tables and figures in text.
  • Graphics are high-resolution.
  • All necessary files have been included.
  • All figure captions have been provided.
  • All tables are present (including title, description, footnotes).
