1954 The Cebu Provincial Nacionalista Party directorate passes a resolution accepting Governor Sergio Osmeña Jr., into the NP. The young Osmeña has just defected from the Liberal Party, saying his loyalty in the past had been to Elpidio Quirino and not to the Liberal Party.
