Today in the History of Cebu
1832 A royal decree creates the parish of Sogod in Cebu. It is separated from the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of Parian. 1946 President Manuel Roxas appoints the members of a new Cebu municipal board, Marcos Morelos, Catalina Ybañez, Filemon Zapanta, Cresencio Tomakin, Paciente Villa, Magno Paez, Juan Seno, and Jovito Abellana.
